Not a bird!

I was out at the beach and I saw this group of people with these things that looked like giant kites. Here is a shot of one of them on the water with their kite. Looks pretty fun but I don't think the wind is strong enough to get me moving. :)

Reddish Egret & Spoonbill

I had such a nice day at Desoto! I was paying so much attention to this reddish egret I almost didn't even see the spoon bill when he first landed! I have at least 50 super sharp images of this reddish egret. Quite a few neat reflections.

Ft. Desoto

I think this is a sandpiper of some sort. I need to try and look it up. I went to Ft Desoto Park. I got some great images that I will be posting this week. I got lots of images of a Reddish Egret, spoonbill, Tricolored Heron, gulls and many more.

Fishing

This was a great capture for both of us! Luckily for the fish the Heron's eyes were too big for his stomach. He dropped it and the fish got back to the water and was gone! I do love Lake Parker in Lakeland. I just sit on this nice black bench and get these shots. I think I could spend a lifetime just in that park capturing images.

Family in Nature!

Backyard Hawk sort of like the Holiday Hawk!

This guy was sitting in my backyard today! I have seen this hawk around but I've never been able to get a good capture. As I type this message the hawk is still sitting on the swing set.

I have a bald egale in the backyard that fishes on my lake but only my wife's cousin has gotten a good picture of this guy. I keep hoping I will see him on the dock with a big gar again but no suck luck yet.

First Attempt

I have seen some of the images Chad had done and thought I would give it a try. Let me know what I should improve. I took some candy from my daughter dropped it in expresso cup and took some images. I have been trying to do some indoor shooting lately not very happy with anything yet. :)

I am pretty!

I love the reflection of the woodstork these guys are all around a lake in the middle of downtown Lakeland. I don't know the lake name but it has quite a bit of woodstorks hanging around this lake.
