Frozen Pink

I have to admit that I really enjoy photograpying these little bugs. I was surprised how many different colors you can find in a small area.

Most of my shots are from Lake Parker a park in Lakeland Florida. I have lived in florida most of my life and never really stopped to look at this bugs. I knew that always appeared when I was mowing my parents yard but that was about all I knew about these guys.

Now some years later I find myself sitting down and just waiting for one to land near buy so I can capture it.

Dream Dragonfly

This shot is very dream like to me. The background is so soft I feel like I am drifting into the image.

Ok that sound a little odd but it is what it is.

I love the color of this dragonfly. I have this dragonfly picture framed in my house.

Pink Dragonfly

I never really noticed the different kinds of dragonflies out in the world. I was looking for some subjects to shoot and noticed these bugs flying around all over the place. I also noticed that once the land in one spot the keep coming back to that same spot so it made it a bit easier to shoot them. I will be uploading more images of dragonflies in the future. I have many framed dragonfly pictures on my walls in my office.
