Pink Spoonbill

I wish the spoonbill would have moved a bit more so I could have gotten a better reflection but I really like the colors on this bird. I thought I would keep with images with pink color in them. This was shot at lettuce lake park in Tampa. It has this great look out tower but it has been closed for the past few months. :(

It is one of those parks that has dozens of birds species in one spot... spoonbills, osprey, Egrets of all types...

Frozen Pink

I have to admit that I really enjoy photograpying these little bugs. I was surprised how many different colors you can find in a small area.

Most of my shots are from Lake Parker a park in Lakeland Florida. I have lived in florida most of my life and never really stopped to look at this bugs. I knew that always appeared when I was mowing my parents yard but that was about all I knew about these guys.

Now some years later I find myself sitting down and just waiting for one to land near buy so I can capture it.

I caught this one in flight. I wish my focus would have been a bit sharper.

Great Blue Heron

The reflection is what i like most about this image. This heron was pretty brave he kept walking towards me. Walked right by with even looking up at me. I assume he was pretty hungry.

This was a nice shot of an osprey. He was just sitting in a this shallow part of the river.

Dream Dragonfly

This shot is very dream like to me. The background is so soft I feel like I am drifting into the image.

Ok that sound a little odd but it is what it is.
